Tae-Kwon-Do as an Art

Tae Kwon Do is practiced in over 150 countries with more than 30 million practitioners. It is the most rapidly chosen martial art all over the world because it is a balance of art and modern science. Tae Kwon Do is also widely practiced because of its traditional roots of respect, courtesy, integrity, perseverance and indomitable spirit which all of our students learn and use in and out of class. The art takes the form of Karate, with it’s linear movements, of Kung Fu, with its “flowing” move- ments, transforming into devastating forceful kicks. A kick can reach over 60 mph with a force of 450 lbs, which is why the art has been practiced in various public safety departments like the mili- tary or police departments.   Grand Master Lee has over 15 years experience teaching Tae Kwon Do to Korean and American Armed Force based in Korea. The art of Tae Kwon Do is not only graceful in its movements but also emphasizes power and self defense.  The students learn the graceful forms which are derived from Korean history.  Lee’s Martial Art’s Academy gives each students the opportunity to practice enriched martial arts under Grandmaster Lee, who has been appointed, World Tae Kwon Do Federation’s International Advisor in2008-2009 and World Tae Kwon Do Federation’s Research & Development Committee member 2010.
